Re: Could not connect to the device
I have a camera that required this (no longer in use), and it is after the url such as:
http://192.168.1.1:8088 Username password
I don't remember any other characters other than spaces between the sections.

Re: setting for a second instance (2 cam system)
The startup section is in the drop down menu under "Settings", "Edit Settings", and then select "Startup". This will present you with a list of check boxes to set up as default.

Re: Need some help with "Preview"
Thanks for the explanation. Kind of figured it was something like that, but had to ask.
It is NOT a real problem for me because it is simple to pull up the GUI and make a couple of clicks. but then again I am lazy
If you can, great; if not, OK.
Thanks for everything.

Re: Need some help with "Preview"
No, I followed the instructions for making multiple installations as noted in the help section. The first instance is just a plain install while the multiple instances has "service" added to the config file.

Re: Need some help with "Preview"
Thanks for your thoughts. I called myself trying that before, but have tried that again. I could find nothing like you said. But this time through did raise a couple of questions: 1. I could find not "setting" or reference to the Preview window in the xml file except possibly a reference t...

Re: Can someone help me please???
I had the same type of problem trying to get mine to work on the internet and happen to be talking to my ISP one day and mentioned the problem. In MY case, they had to give me a static IP address in order for it to work and bypass some of their firewall etc. They gave me the static and I was online ...

Re: software instead of browser to see yawcam stream
For general observation, I use the "preview" mode and as I have 4 cameras, I can fit them all on the screen at one time. They are also setup for automatic recording via motion detection or timed file saving.
No need for the browser.

Re: Could not connect to the device
Michel, What camera (make and model) are you trying to use. I found that different cameras sometimes need different URL settings to work. For instance, my Foscam needs: http://192.168.x.xx/videostream.cgi Whereas my Ediemax needs: http://192.168.x.xx/mjpg/video.mjpg Obviously I have replaced part of...

Re: Connecting an Ip-cam

Below are example settings for each of my 3 cameras to connect to Yawcam: Dericam http://192.168.1.99:99/videostream.cgi Edimax http://192.168.1.102/mjpg/video.mjpg admin 1234 Foscam http://192.168.1.104/videostream.cgi as you can see, they have a som...
