Yawcam

Getting Yawcam 0.4.1 to run with Java 8.xx on a Windows 7 computer can be done. I know this because I did it. On one of Malun's posts, he indicates that if you enter "java -version" into a Command Window and get a result that Windows can find Java, then all is well and Yawcam should run ok...

Even though I have Flood Control set to 3 seconds in Yawcam 0.4.1 in the "Motion Detection - Actions - Save file - Settings" and also Flood Control set to 2 seconds in the "Motion Detection - Actions - Ftp upload - Settings", Yawcam seems to be ignoring the Flood Control settings...

I can confirm that the latest version of Yawcam 0.3.8 has corrected the FTP upload problems which I was experiencing with Yawcam 0.3.7 while I had Java 7, Update 4 installed. Yawcam 0.3.6 and 0.3.7 generate errors with Java 7, Update 4 installed. Yawcam can not remember the positions where its Console window and its camera Preview window were located when last run. Yawcam can not remember the setting for defining the part of the image where motion detection should occur....
