"I'm not sure I understand what you mean here... You want the possibility to connect to several webcams through one single port? Hmm... perhaps it could work, but I doubt it." Jii was pretty clear on that. I just thought it would be nice to use one port for multiple streams. No biggy, than...

Okay, this is probably PITS (Pie in the Sky), but kind of a brainstorm. If you at some point were to implement multiple camera support. It seems the simple way would be to add the ability to choose a "profile" or settings file and have users run multiple instances of Yawcam. I have some re...

Offline Image

Sorry I took so long checking back. Yep, I do run my own webserver. Since the applet is available all the time in my case obviously I'd like the applet to simply display that image.

maybe???

Whatta you think about having the applet able to switch to a predefined image on the streaming version too? It could be an applet param, something like: <param name="NoConnectionImage" value="disco.jpg"> I'm hosting it up on a webserver, so the applet is available when yawcam is ...

1. If you have Yawcam 0.2.4 you will want to install the latest java runtime on the machine you access the applet from. If you want compatibility with older versions of the runtime you'll want version 0.2.3 which is available: here thanks to /malun. 2. The netgear router is pretty simple. In the rou...

OMT

I am not positive, but I think it's a matter of MSJAVA not working on the new version. I know!!!! MSJAVA is crap, but it did work on the previous build.

Follow Up

Well, in case there was any question everything works great when I simply replace the yawapplet.class file with the one from version 0.2.3.

BTW... if you think Java is a hog, try anything in .NET. 20mb foot print for "hello world"... LOL. I haven't checked but I bet that's got Java beat.

Thanks for the Quick Reply!

I'm a programmer too... I know all about "should be". LOL... Thanks for the quick reply. I'm still experimenting with yawcam but I'm pretty close to settling on it for the long term. I do hope you get your C version working. I love to code and support Java but it does hog the system resour...

jre 5.0

Ahhh... that was weird, so locally the applet worked on a machine running an older version of the JRE but my external box, which had another version that previously worked, did not work. :-\ Guess I should read the info more closely. I'd still like to find the previous version of the applet if possi...

0.2.4 Applet is just a grey box.

I upgraded tonight and now the applet appears blank on external browsers (works fine internally). My config is IIS on port 80 hosts html with applet. Stream is on port 8080 and host and port are manually configured in the html. This worked great on the previous version. Is there a way for me to get ...
