Thanks - will try that. I ran the original Logitech software and that seems to have restored the system, and now Yawcam has worked the last couple of tries.

Yawcam causes immediate re-boot

Just today every time I call up Yawcam after a few seconds of activity it causes the computer to go into a black screen re-boot.

Have tried a few times, and always the same.

Wonder if a Microsoft update has fouled something up?

Windows Xp SP3

No, the only link between the software and the site is the check for your IP address (if enabled) and when you check for port forwarding errors and such. Which makes it very weird then!! Anyone have any thoughts as to why it works fine when the Yawcam site is OK but not otherwise - specifically on ...

Webcam only accessible if Yawcam site is running

Hi I'm on BT INFINITY and the router is a Homehub3. When the Yawcam web site went down I lost both the ability to see if I was online (via loopback) AND the ability to see the webcam output at a remote place via the Internet. When the Yawcam site came back up, both facilities returned. Does this mea...

BT HH3 and protforwarding revisited

Today I discovered that I could now do port forwarding successfully on the previously reluctant HH3. Not sure if they have implemented a firmware update, but loopback also works - for now!

Just discovered this massive thread 19 pages deep! http://community.bt.com/t5/BB-Speed-Connection-Issues/Home-Hub-3-Port-Forwarding-NOT/td-p/154757/highlight/false It seems the HH3 won't do port forwarding without a firmware fix - which has already been 6 months since the problem was reported. Sorry...

In that case, your BT HHB3 is not your main router, you need to be able to configure the router that has the address that shows up on what is my ip. that's the router you need to do some port forwarding on. If your yawcam computer is behind 2 routers, you'll have a tricky situation where you'll hav...

try disabling upnp detection in Yawcam. Thanks - tried that now, but no joy. check that "what is my ip" websites report the same ip that your HHB3 has for it's WAN IP address. In the HH3 TCP/IP settings there is an item marked Broadband network address (plus default gateway) There is no c...

Did you try www.portforward.com, they usually have a pretty exaustive list of routers with port forwarding instructions. Didn't really need to as I had pretty well done all they suggested - even though the HHB3 is not on the list. So have portforwarded both the 8888 and 8081 ports, and enabled on t...

BT Home Hub 3 and port forwarding

Hi,
Just changed from SKY to BT - and need a wee bit of a hand in opening the ports for YAWCAM - anyone else had success with this router?

Great to see the site back up - I really missed it, and nothing seems so flexible as Yawcam.

I hadn't tried altering the force video setting before, but can confirm what the above two posters have indicated - having done the suggested mods and using a Logitech Pro9000 camera
