Yes, you got it right. If you put the other yawcam's settings directory ( .yawcam ) in the folder secondyawcamdirectory then your service_profile.cfg should read C:\secondyawcamdirectory . ( But instead of creating another folder in C:\ you can just place .yawcam inside the second yawcam's directory...

I'm not on a computer with yawcam right now to check it, but I think those
are the thumbnails you see in the event list at motion detection's window.
If you clear that list, those images should go away.

Nope, you can't have both webcams running at once (with one yawcam instance that is). In order to get images from two webcams you need to have two yawcam instances running, each one with its own settings. Have a look at this post , it may help you to accomplish this. Then, in order to have each yawc...

Ah nice! Tbh I didn't even think of that (since I like writing my own stuff) but
I'm glad I "helped"! :P
As for the limited number of images, I guess that's up to Malun to "fix". It'd
be a very useful feature to have...

You can use variables in the folder's names too, so at least the images would
be arranged & easier to delete. For viewing them you are going to need PHP,
as a simple HTML page won't be able to show them since the filenames are
"unknown (random)". Do you know if your server supports PHP?

Is that "smtp. gamil .com" a copy/paste from your settings or you wrote it "by hand"? If it's the first, then your settings are wrong. The right one is " gmail ". Also, as another user mentioned some days ago, "you can not send an email to yourself". Maybe you...

Looks interesting & promising!
Question: Does it stop capturing the streaming when it's minimized? Or will
the broadcaster see "1 connected" all the time since the connection has been
made?

Topic: Suggestion: Our own IP detecting URL
Replies: 4

I was thinking to point yawcam to a PHP page which would output only the IP.
Plain text, not HTML. (I don't know how yawcam does it exactly so I can't really
say what needs to be done.)

Suggestion: Our own IP detecting URL

The idea is to have a setting which would allow us to change the default URL
that yawcam connects to, to detect our IP. So, if yawcam.com goes down,
yawcam won't be inaccessible or unable to detect the IP.

Hm, you are right. I've never noticed that before since I don't have the need
for capturing constant motion.

It's the image array that restricts the image capturing, not flood control. Flood control disables the motion detector for the given amount of time. At least that's how I perceive their purpose (& they seem to work the way I want). For as long as there is motion, I keep getting images. I have se...
