Correct me if i'm wrong, If i understand your explanation, all PC using wireless do not function anymore. Yes but this also goes for Yawcam on one of the two PC's with a able connection to the router (not wireless). However - the problem was solved today. It was actually a problem on the web hotel....

Suddenly getting Yawcam/FTP errors on 3 PC's

Hi I am running Yawcam as a "simple FTP upload program" (no video streaming etc) however using an 48 image array of the last 48 images (24 hours). Furthermore I am running this on 4 different PC's and have been doing so for almost 2 years. Suddenly... on 3 of the 4 PC's I am starting to ge...

If that is the case it must mean that a webcam software based on java in general or Yawcam in particular is more heavy on the CPU load than webcam softwares that are not based on Java?

Try to experiment with the detection area and see if that helps. If you expect movement in a special area of the image it's usually better to specify this area and then have a low tolerance. Well the image area of this particular outdoor camera is pretty much only my own garden and driveway in fron...

Motion detection and outdoor webcam? Possible?

Until now I have only used motions detection oncce with an indoor webcam for security purposes. Today I have testet just a little bit with motion detection on one of my outdoor cameraes running Yawcam. It seem to me MUCH more difficult (almost impossible?) to get an acceptable balance between motion...

Some camera drivers uses more CPU than others. The native communication with the driver of the webcam is reported in the System process in the task manager. So different drivers will affect the percentage reported here in different grades. Spent a few minutes on investigating this issue again. Logg...

Thanks for your input. I do not use the preview window except for short time adjusting of webcams after power outages. Then I connect by Windows XP Remote Desktop and fine adjust the two Creative Live Motion cameraes. The next time I am in the vacations house I will follow up your hint about checkin...

I have spent some more time trying to find out why Yawcam use so much CPU resources on two of my computers and not on the third computer running Yawcam - no success. There are at least two things that puzzles me: 1. It does not clearly seem to be related to the CPU speed of the PC or the amount of R...

CPU load

SORRY - mixed up between CPU and memory in use in this post. I have corrected the text now to CPU wich is correct. Not sure this is a bug, but it still bothers me :( (running v0.3.0) In two of my webcam PC's, Yawcam seem to lock up a large part of the CPU resources - most of it actually. In one of ...

Change of picture resolution after restart

Hi I may have overlooked something, but have the problem of Yawcam choosing a low resolution for one of my webcams after a restart of Yawcam. I have been using Creative Live Motion and Creative instant webcams but have now substituted the Creative Instant with Philips SPC900NC. When exiting Yawcam a...

Feature request for future Yawcam version

Hi I have found Yamcam great for my purpose but have so far only been using FTP uploading to a website with 48 last picture array. Now I would also like to save a copy of ALL the pictures on the local HD. Yawcam supports this simply as an incremental number filename... but I wonder if it would be mo...
