Yea, it looks ok now! I forgot to mention that your image had a bar at the bottom (of about 1/6 of the total height), like an overlay, under which the image was displayed in negative colors or something like that. Now looks fine though. Is that the distortion you are talking about? Also, just...

Ready! ;)

I think/hope I didn't miss anything. I uploaded my scripts & a (hopefully clear & easy to read) guide here: http://www.yawcam.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2057 This might look long & difficult, but it's actually simple to accomplish. If you know how to FTP-upload files then you know everyth...

Another Dynamic IP Solution

I thought that I should share my own solution, for the Dynamic IP problem, with you guys. You will need only a server that allows PHP. There are tons out there nowadays that provide their hosting services for free. Even I don't mind to host you, but I guess you want your own name in the URL . ...

Another idea...

 I came up with another idea. Maybe there could be another announcement feature which would be triggered when the IP changes & it would point at the page that I have to keep open (the one with the iFrames). So I wouldn't have to keep that page open anymore, it would grab the IP from yawcam...

For the legitimate search engines, the solution is the robots.txt. For the rest I agree that we can't do much (in a simple way at least) to hide the stream. (Personally I don't really care. If they can bypass all my safety nets, then they deserve to own my pc/network. 8)) Let them know, who cares if...

Maybe it's because the broadcasting image is 1600x1200 (230kB).
I've set mine in 320x240 (60kB) & the result is fine for me. Play around with device's settings
in "Format control..." & try to figure out what works best for you (quality/performance).

You're welcome guys. Just check my --Edit-- section in my previous post because I think I had omitted something.
Now it must be right. If you still have trouble let me know so I'll check it further.

Since I don't trust those 3rd commercial companies you mentioned, I had to come up with a solution of my own. So here is what I did: 1> I found a free web host that supports PHP (most do nowadays). 2> I made & uploaded a php page that it gets the IP of whoever visits it & stores it in a txt ...

What I did...

This is what I did: 1> I installed yawcam, let's say in C:\Programs\yawcam. 2> I copied the entire folder, pasted & renamed it to yawcam01. 3> Then I pasted another copy of it & renamed it yawcam02. 4> I opened the file service_profile.cfg in C:\Programs\yawcam01 with notepad & edited to...

Fps in Images-to-Video...

How many fps are supported in Images-to-Video?
I want to make a video from dawn to dawn & I want it to last some
seconds only. So I need to know up to how many fps can I "squeeze"
in order to adjust the interval between each frame capture.
Anyone has any idea on that?

You mean that you could see it before? If not, then your phone's browser
probably doesn't support Java. Try installing Opera for mobiles. That solved
the problem for me.
(Also, why port 3389? Did you change the default 8081?)

I still use the previous version (0.3.5), didn't have time to set up the new one. The settings I mentioned in the previous post work fine for both File Output & Motion Detection. & I've tested them in Win XP & 7 (& in Vista some time ago, but I'm not sure if it was the same yawcam ve...

z3r0c00l12 is like me, he likes the "hard" way! ;) There is a simpler way though to achieve daily & even hourly categorization. In the settings, where you define the path for the images to be saved, enter: X:\SomeFolder\{dateD}{dateM}{dateY}\{tstampH}\File_{dateD}{dateM}{dateY}_{tstamp...
