Re: Windows 10 Yawcam won't start
@sumri, Did you try I uninstalling Yawcam and Java completely, and then doing fresh installs with the latest versions? Also, try uninstalling the webcam drivers and let it re-install automatically... @MattMan, Sure you're using the right version of Java and not mixing x86 and x64 versions or have mu...

Re: Looking for a Simple IP Cam Program
As stated, you need a PC in order to get your non-Dlink IPcam to do what you want... If you really don't want/have a PC, you can try the following options to make a webcam with an old smartphone: http://www.instructables.com/id/Make-A-Wi-fi-Webcam-From-An-Old-Android-Phone/ Same can be done with an ...

Re: Yawcam won't start on Windows XP
Read the following thread:
http://www.yawcam.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 528#p12472
BTW, this also works for the current latest Java build 1.8.0_60-b27. FYI.

Re: Windows 10 Yawcam won't start
Does Yawcam start up normally? Not obvious from your posts, but did you fresh install the service too (running the batch file as Admin)? Also note that the default path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Yawcam

Re: Yawcam streams with wifi but not wired, please help.
This seems likely a router issue rather than with the Yawcam settings, as streaming works via WiFi according to your posts. Personally, I've never enabled or use UPNP. I've always just configured streaming manually via a static IP assignment and then port forwarding to that static IP. Just curious, ...

Re: Yawcam streams with wifi but not wired, please help.
Not according to the WNDR4300 User Manual found at:
http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/ ... pt2014.pdf
To setup static IP, read:
'Address Reservation' pg 42
To setup port forwarding, read:
'Add a Custom Service' pg 99
FYI.

Re: Windows 10 Yawcam won't start
Fresh install of Java (build 1.8.0_51-b16), then fresh install of Yawcam (v0.4.2), and all seem working for me on a Win10 Pro x64 laptop with both its internal webcam and a Logitech C910 webcam.

Re: Yawcam 0.4.2 RELEASED!
Java's days are numbered... there seem to be a lot of rumbling calling for its demise. Any plans to migrate or port Yawcam off Java? I'm no software developer so I have no idea of the feasibility, complexity and efforts required. Yawcam is a useful and well-developed application, and I think its fun...

Re: Yawcam 0.4.2 RELEASED!
Updating Java from build 1.8.0_45-b14 to 1.8.0_51-b16 on three WinXP machines, the 'javapath' folder came up empty. On my fourth and last WinXP setup, I tried uninstalling build 1.8.0_45-b14 completely, and then doing a fresh install of build 1.8.0_51-b16. This approach worked, producing those three...

Re: Yawcam 0.4.2 RELEASED!
Just want to report that Yawcam 0.4.2 is confirmed to be working for Win7 systems (both x86 and x64) with the latest Java Version 8 Update 51 (build 1.8.0_51-b16). :D However, Yawcam 0.4.2 would not work with this latest Java update on WinXP systems, as the Java install process deletes the 'javapath...
