I have a camera mounted on a shed, looking back at my house.
The light on the webcam is pretty creepy at night.
I put a piece of black electrical tape over it.

Re: Yawcam Service Stopping on Windows 7 Pro x86 SP1
Turns out that my problem is a false alarm.
After hours of trying to figure it out, I opened filezilla and had the same problem.
It appears that my ISP changed the FTP requirements and I have to use the 'use active ftp mode' now.
Maybe someone else uses the same provider 'ftp.shaw.ca'

Re: Yawcam Service Stopping on Windows 7 Pro x86 SP1
I'm getting something similar, 4 laptops all running for years, now are getting an 'FTP error read timed out'. no problem when I FTP from dos, but yawcam can't work now. I don't know if it was a microsoft patch or ?. I don't know if it is the same problem as you are experiencing as one of the pc's i...

Re: Brutal Problems -- Need Help
To help you about the instances for yawcam you can run, I can run four on a core2duo laptop T7200 processor but not if motion detection is on.
the same pc could only run two motion sensing instances when I tried it.

Re: Suggestion request, Wishlist item
Ha! until I started to RTFM I didn't know that AUTOIT provided a program to watch the cursor and tell you what was under it. The 'autoit window info' program. So I've changed the winwait to WinWait("Yawcam - Yet Another Webcam Software") and it works much better. [ I've changed the "I...

Re: Suggestion request, Wishlist item
Told you I would have fun with this program Autoit and it works great! Thanks again for telling me about it. So I have a pc running four occurrences, as per the instructions for running multiple copies. I made a couple of small changes; I set the launcher.cfg for the first instance to have the "...

Re: IP Cameras
Yes I have three d-link 930L cameras and beside Yawcam working them quite well they are still viewable thru the dlink web site and iphone app. This is the setting in the yawcam ip setup for the 930L http://192.168.99.99/VIDEO.CGI (you use your ip address, it's just the VIDEO.CGI that I'm explaining....

Re: Suggestion request, Wishlist item

When I ran the script i got four yawcam windows labeled 1-Yaw-cam 2-Yaw-cam 5-Yaw-cam and 6-Yaw-cam What i'll try to get autoit to do is open the settings and look for the text in the tex...

As requested, here is a reminder.
I need a way of indicating which instance of Yawcam is running in the control panel window.
Ideally it would be set under settings/overlay/text, and show on the control panel

Re: Motion Detection Tuning Question
check to flood control as it will prevent a bunch of pictures being taken. And, check the name you have given the picture files. you probably need {tstampMS} or {tstampS} in the name. If you don't then all of the files will have the same name and overlay each other so you will only get one. Maybe ju...

Re: Problem -Can't write file check if directory exists.....
I've used the FTP built into yawcam for a couple of years and not had this problem so I wouldn't use fling. If I did use fling I would probably try having Yawcam create an image array 2 deep and having fing just only pick up the second image, which would be the older not connected to yawcam image. I...

Re: Yawcam JAVA hates USB extension cable...
I have a rocketfish camera as well. I have connected it to two 15 foot cables and was able to get it to work by putting a powered hub at the end of the 30 feet and plugging the rocketfish onto the hub. I used the same idea to put it at the end of a 100 foot cable using usb to ethernet and then ether...

Re: Webcam Online image viewer script?
I have a webpage that displays 24hours of 'every 15 minutes' webcam shots by using the img size and a table 4 wide by whatever deep. If I click on the first picture it shows it zoomed up in size. So all of the picts are the native size on the ftp site and the webpage shows different sizes. I have us...

device error monitor in V4 works great!
I loaded the new version yesterday and one of my cameras had been going off the air for weeks for some reason, maybe the cold temperature. Anyways the camera was still on when I checked it this morning. Checking it had become a couple of times a day routine so I thought, oh good the new version is b...
