I had no problem with downloading it with Google Chrome.

It's definitely improvement on 0.2 - I found that when I dragged 0.2 to the sidebar it took quite a long time to open whereas 0.3 is much quicker. Also it's much more reliable - thanks for that!

Hi Dragnier A couple of screenshots taken from my desktop using the gadget: http://theoldschool.info/small.jpg (in the sidebar) and http://theoldschool.info/large.jpg (detached). Incidentally, I've found that operation of the gadget is not 100% reliable. Often when I boot up my laptop at work I get ...

Interestingly I looked at the download link and when I moved my mouse over it, it showed "http://www.sticktech.net/sites/default/files/D-Eye0.2.gadget" but if I right click on the link and choose "save Target as", the file is saved as "D-Eye0.2.zip" I'm using IE8 at the...

Against URL: you only need 192.168.1.2 or localhost - you don't need the http:// (incidentally you've typed ; instead of : after http//)

In answer to your question - yes it does work on the local IP. On my desktop I'm using 192.168.0.2 ("localhost" works as well) and on my laptop (networked) I'm using my normal IP address (so that it works when I'm roaming) & they both work fine.

Oh yes I see - when I drag the gadget away from the sidebar it goes up to 320x240 and when I drag it back to the sidebar it continues to display the full image albeit smaller. Incidentally it took me some time to realise that I should enter just the IP address when entering my URL - initially I ente...

All I have at the right is the X button and below that spanner icon which when I click on it opens the configuration screen where the URL & port settings go. No other buttons...

Great idea - got it working OK but I can't change the resolution - I can only see a bit of the camera image it seems to be set at 130x98. How can I change it to 320x240?

Videomate C100 but it's stopped working at the moment so I've gone back to using my Easycap/Syntek STK1150 USB capture device which has all the available options so maybe I'll stick to that

How many images are you trying to combine into a movie & how big are they ? Maybe try something very simple - e.g. just 10 images of small file size and run movie at 1 fps to test it out. If it still freezes try reinstalling Yawcam

In version 0.3.2 the extravars directory you should use is one which is located at C:\Documents and Settings\Username (whatever your username is)\.yawcam\extravars and not the extravars directory in the main program (it used to be the one which was used in older versions but is not any more)

Yes, I did try it but there was no high resolution option available - see my earlier post in this thread on January 3rd when I tried the forcevideoformat.txt option. The problem seems to be the limited choice of settings available using "change to device" compared with "format control...

Afraid it doesn't work for me either - change resolution to 640 x 480 but goes back to 320 x 240 when I restart it. Save file works OK though at the resolution I change it to.
