The output pins available when I'm using the camera with composite video plugged into the capture card are: Capture VBI Audio IS2 Audio Analog ITU video The only one which gives any video format options is "Capture" which offers: YUY2, 320 * 240, 16 bits, (def) - presumably default YUY2, 7...

Are you sure you're putting the file in the correct directory? It should have the following files in it: banlist.dat pass.dat ver.dat yawcam_settings.xml If you haven't got the force video format option you should have the Settings>Device (your camera)>Format Control - try all the options to get a f...

You need to place the forcevideoformat.txt file in the new settings directory used in the latest version - usually C:\Documents and Settings\Username\.yawcam rather than in the C:\Program Files\Yawcam directory. This is the same location as you put the disablerunningcheck.txt file which prevents the...

Yes, that works fine thanks. I've changed the location of the new yawcamsettings directory to the C:\Documents and Settings\User directory and modified the service_profile.cfg file appropriately rather than have it in the root directory just to "hide" it for my personal preference and it w...

Ah! I've discovered the problem - in the new version the extravars and the settings are now stored in the .Yawcam directory in Documents and Settings\Users directory not in the Program Files as before. As there's only one .Yawcam directory both instances have to use the same settings file whereas be...

Thanks, malun - it works OK without the error message but I've found a couple of problems: I open the first instance of Yawcam & I've set it up with camera #1 and all the appropriate settings for streaming port, text overlay, ftp upload etc. but when I open the second instance I get an error mes...

Is there any way of suppressing the error message " Another instance of Yawcam is already running. Do you want to start a second instance? "? I am using 2 webcams streaming images to 2 different webpages and want them both to start automatically with windows startup without me having to pr...

Further to previous post I've done a clean install of Yawcam on a different PC using a different webcam & still no luck. All I can think is that I'm using the wrong version?
BTW using Windows XP SP3 on both machines

Hi Guenes Thankis for the reply. BTW I'm using version 0.3.0>1 built: 2007-06-11 - I assume that's the latest beta version. I verified that I'd checked HTTP and streaming to start up but still no go. These must have been correctly activated because if I start in normal mode they work OK. I've checke...

I've just started using yawcam and it's great! I do, however, have the same problem in that it works fine running as a program but when I close the program and start it as a service it won't stream. When running as a program I've enabled port forwarding on ports 8081 and 8888 on my Netgear router an...
