Thanks - yes it's very strange - it seems to start & stop without reason. I've just tried to access it from work & it's fine. I suspect it may be connected with the router as I get the same problem (or not) with either of 2 pc's which are permanently on line. I tend to leave the router on al...

I've been using Yawcam for years but now for some reason I can't access http or stream either locally or via the internet even though when I check whether I'm online I get the message "everything looks fine" with 2 green "OK"s. I've not changed anything (PC, router etc. are all t...

You also need to set up your router to allow inbound services on the ports you are using - I'm not familiar with your router so I don't know how you do it. On my Netgear router I set up a service called Yawcam, type TCP/UDP, ports 8081-8084 (I use 2 cameras so need 4 ports for streaming and http) th...

Search yields no results

I'm not sure if I'm using the search facility correctly but I can't get it to display any posts at all, even if I ask it to search for the word Yawcam or streaming or any word commonly used in topics - I just get the message: "No topics or posts met your search criteria" - what am I doing ...

Thanks, but it's no different, in fact I now get the same problem with Sype so it's obviously a windows problem. I've worked round it by using shutdown.exe with -f to force shutdown and with -r for a reboot but thanks anyway

Yawcam prevents shutdown

I've just installed Yawcam on a "new" PC running XP Pro & as usual it works well but it seems to be preventing Windows from shutting down. When I use the normal shutdown process I get a box saying Ending Program - Yawcam followed by another box saying "This program is not respondi...

Can you provide a link to it? Ah, I just googled Yawcam, not yawcam 2011 & the first result was to http://www.yawcam.softlate.com/Yawcam I searched on google, everything with the search "Yawcam 2011" pointed to this forum. But I did notice that google suggested "Youcam 2011"...

What is Yawcam 2011?

I did a Google search for Yawcam recently and came across "Yawcam 2011" - I didn't download the program as I use the genuine Yawcam 0.3.5 but does anybody know anything about it - is it a different program which has cloned the name - any ideas malun?

Yes, you can put it in a different directory - edit the service_profile.cfg file in the main Yawcam directory to show the path to your directory.

I lost my settings when I installed the new version (I was OK because I had made a backup of the main directory in program files and the .yawcam directory so I copied these back to get back to where I was).

Thanks, Malun

I've installed v0.3.3 as a new installation in a different directory to play with but I now want to use my existing settings from v0.3.2 in the new version what's the recommended way to do it? (I assume if I just install over the previous version I'll lose all my settings)
