It's sometimes tricky to get an acceptable level of false positives, especially during night time.
Are you using the motion detector with "auto level" enabled or disabled?
I would recommend to have it enabled.
I also recommend you to use the "Reference image" algorithm.

Re: error - what URLs
Yes
I'm afraid this function got abused by spam bots, so I had to disable it for now.
I will have to make a new release of Yawcam that handles this without using an external web server.
Until then, this function will be broken. Sorry about that.
But thanks for the feedback

Re: Unable to Run/Launch Yawcam on Windows 10
As far as I know, there is no problem to run Yawcam on the most current version of Windows 10. Version 0.6.2 of Yawcam had problems with some Java versions though. If you upgrade to Yawcam 0.7.0, that will be fixed. Other than that, some specific video/audio hardware connected to the computer can ma...

Re: Colored lines on preview
Are the lines always present in the preview window? Or do they show up occasionally? Also, it looks like the preview has been resized. Do you still see the lines if you don't resize the preview? If you use the capture window and save an image file. Does it also have the lines? Never seen the "d...

Re: Setup PC Webcam with Synology Surveillance Station
Change Yawcam to stream as MJPEG: Click: "Settings -> Edit Settings... -> Stream -> Stream type" and set it to "MJPEG". Then let your Synology point to the URL http://ip-address:port/video.mjpg You find your IP and port number by clicking: "Help -> What's my URL?" /malun

Re: Can't view YAWCAM while on the same network?
It's possible that you will have to use different URLs when you are on the inside and the outside your network.
Click "Help -> What's my URL?" and the URLs to use will be presented to you.

Re: 1000s of motion video clips
Sounds like you need to make some changes for the detection level.
More info in the help:
https://www.yawcam.com/help/help_motion_set.php
And here are some examples describing how the settings for the "auto level" work:

Re: Not Finding Java
Follow step 1 to 4 in this guide: https://www.yawcam.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3477 to verify that java is correctly installed. Don't do step 5 and onward for now. They might be a bit outdated. (Default path to java has changed since that post was written...) Does it work to print the java version i...

Re: Unable to press the enable button for HTTP, File, FTP, Stream, and Motion.
Looks like the scheduler has been enabled. Try to turn it off by clicking:
"Settings -> Edit settings... -> Scheduler"
and make sure that the option "Enable scheduler" is unmarked.
You will then be able to use the buttons in the control panel again.
