the second command didn't return anything relevant, can you try running it again while you are trying to view the stream?

Re: Yawcam don't start, Java problem?
Have you tried re-installing Java?
Which version of Yawcam are you using? (You may have to check in the control panel)

Re: Yawcam webcam fps not persisting
I believe the fps setting is only on the driver side and not part of Yawcam, so there's not much Yawcam can do to save the setting. I know under the stream there is an option to change the fps, and that should remain set after a reboot.

Re: Catch laptop thief
No, Yawcam would send you e-mails with pictures. Since it's within your own home, you don't need a VPN because you'll be able to connect to it with just the IP address. What you may want to do in this case: 1) Install Yawcam and configure e-mail notifications 2) Set your router to reserve an IP addr...

Re: Catch laptop thief
Yes, you could technically catch a laptop thief with Yawcam. You would need a few things though: 1) A laptop without a password 2) Yawcam installed and running at all times 3) A VPN connection to your laptop OR E-mail\FTP notifications from Yawcam 4) A thief stupid enough to power on the laptop and ...

You're right, your bandwidth is probably limited by the USB hub.

Re: Stream randomly stopped working
Can you run the command below?
Then try connecting from another computer or using a proxy and run the command below:
Post the output to both commands here or at least the relevant portions.
Code: Select all
netstat -anop tcp | find /i "LISTENING"
Code: Select all
netstat -anop tcp | find ":8081"

Re: Capture Window on Start
I don't think there is an option for this, but it does seem like something easy to implement. I'll add it to the suggestion list.

Re: Stream randomly stopped working
Has the IP address on your computer changed? Perhaps your port really is open, and forwarding, but forwarding to the wrong IP address.

Re: loading image!
My guess if the facebook algorythm to pull images from the website doesn't load the javascript, therefore doesn't load any images from the webcam. What you may have to do is either change the loading picture in your yawcam files or add a sample picture in the HTML so you can change the preview photo...

Re: yawcam and multicamera streaming
Yawcam Portable sounds very Interesting. I should look into doing that in my free time. As for Webcams having the same name, you may hit a dead end there, although, I was successful at one point following a similar procedure to the following, which varies based on your webcam: http://www.eightforums...
