The effort you do is never wasted time.
If you can occompish this you can accomplish something else too.
And learn in the proccess doing it.

Well if someone would like to know the origin (read IP-address) of a webcam stream, you have free tools like snooper who can give you the details. Moreover on internet you have free sites to look up DSN info. For example : serveftp.org Searched via http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp Giv...

Re: Sharing your Webcam

It took a long time figuring it out, but glad I finally got it. If anyone wants to know how to do that, I will gladly help. I love Yawcam!!! Thanks for sharing. I suppose this is the code you referring to ? <a href="http://www.northnews.ca/webcam.html" onclick="NewWindow(this.href,'w...

I don't know if it is.
But i can say this software is not developped for Windows XP originaly.
With the latest windows (Windows 7), i would say,
If it functions ? - OK
If it does not function ? - search for another application.

A usefull work-around can be the use of the application JamCam4 (version 1.01.04) . This is freeware application that allows to display 4 streams at the same time. Go to the Authors site . For example : Install the first instance in programm directory " C:\Program Files\Yawcam_01 ". Create...

If you talking about the application itself, I don't believe you can change the displayed name. I did browsed my registry and found this info on 3 different locations : Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Yawcam] "Type"=dword:00000010 &quo...

I think you do have some setup to do. First of all " UPNP: Could not find any UPNP devices! ". Check the Yawcam settings : Yawcam -> Settings -> Connection http://www.yawcam.com/help/img/set_connection.png The connection page will keep track on your computer's public ip address. This is th...

Yawcam is probably NOT COMPATIBLE with your Windows 7 and(or) the latest (ano 2009) Java.
Quit logical if you think the software is developped for Windows XP and the latest release dates from 11 june 2007.

This is not directly possible.
The only alternative i can think off is to use log files.
This way you can via remote control see whaty happened.
Who connected when, Who disconnected when, ....etc

Thanks tellmewhy, Has anyone tried to use a digital camera instead of a webcam? Should I post this questions elsewhere? Thanks in advance Laura :) Depends on the digital camera you use. You can use it as a webcam (connected to your computer via USB port). Then there is nothing different from what i...
