Took a long time for the applet to load. And there was no movement on the stream. It was just a static image. I thought it would be more like video conferencing. Was there perhaps too much load on the CPU streaming and viewing at once? The machine is an Athlon XP 2500+, 256MB RAM, Win98SE. Strange,...

First you should try if you can see yourself on the same computer that Yawcam runs on. Check at the bottom of the stream settings page in Yawcam and see what url is printed there. (open this page by clicking: Settings->Edit settings...->Stream) The url should be something like: http://192.168.0.1:80...

Re: Problem with signed applet usage
My understanding is that, for streaming config, you use the defined HTTP port (TCP) for enabling the HTML page retrieval Correct! , but I guess the applet, once downloaded, try to access the same port, but this time in UDP to retrieve video stream. Is that correct ? What is the way the applet works...

First I have two questions: Do you run Yawcam on your windows 2000 box, or on another computer behind your windows 2000 box? Do you want to use the built-in webserver in Yawcam or your other webserver outside your network? I think you should try to get it to work with the built-in webserver first be...

This is a design choice. I let the camera stand in standby ready to deliver an image in the HTTP output. (This consumes CPU.) The STREAMING server on the other hand is not in standby, and therefore a delay occurs before the image is delivered. I think the delay is acceptable for the STREAMING server...

What about having alternate date formats like: Monday, May 17, 2004 or something along those lines too? That would be nice :-) I know you can have %vv for streaming video. How about some code for http web image?? I'm not sure what you are looking for here... Do you want to be able to see how many p...

Ok, the small fix is ready. All it does is to print out some error messages that were missed before. This might help me figure out what goes wrong. Download the fix here: http://www.yawcam.com/yawcam_print_ftp_error_fix.zip Install it just like an ordinary update. (See instructions here: http://www....
