Service does not start (jre issue ..?)

Hi

I'm running yawcam on a Windows Home Server. I had to install JRE separately but got YawCam working well under my own account.

I installed the service as admin - no errors

When I try to start the service it just hangs / times out.

When I try to start the service from the command line and in debug mode I get an "Error opening registry key 'Software\JavaSoft\Java Runtime Environment'" message. I've given "Everyone" full access to this key but still no success.

Anyone out there got any ideas ..?

Thanks

Hi

I fixed this - I am running a 64bit win7 OS and so had the 64bit JVM installed. Fixed by installing the 32 bit Java package.

Hope this helps someone else running Yawcam in a 64 bit environment.

Strangely though, the client app (i.e. not as a service) worked fine with just the 64 bit JVM installed.
