yawcam starting automatically

I have included the yawcam shortcut on the desktop into the startup menu from winxp. If I startup with my username (under which the software was installed) it starts the different windows defined. However, if I autostart from a different user (also in the startup file) the flash image will remain on the desktop, it does start the ftp upload but no streaming and the controls cannot be accessed (also not in the taskbar).

This may only happen when there is no reboot between switching users )probably user a is not releasing a file which user b needs for running yawcam?)

Never thought about this multi-user-problem...
Yes you are correct, Yawcam will lock some files when it runs. This will cause problems. The new version (not released yet) will lock fewer files, but still the problem will remain.

Actually even if no files where locked all, multiple running processes of Yawcam will still use the same settings. This will make clashes when several processes try to bind the same port number...

Not good at all...

But hey, why do you want several users at the same computer to run Yawcam simultaneously?

as it happens my wife 's PC has the best view so that is where the cam is attached, I have a kind of maintenace account on it but otherwise do nt use it. She does have administrators rights like me. This evening it also happened after a full boot. I have put the shortcut in the startup folder of "all users"

I have now disabled the startup of stream on boot (read about the memory problems) will check tomoorow if that makes a difference.
