Sharing your Webcam
Hi all,
Would anyone be interested in sharing the URL so we can see your webcam?
I hope it's ok to do this, because I would like feedback on what you see & possibly have suggestions for improving things.
Thank you,
Laura

I presume your PC is switched off.

Depends on the digital camera you use.Laura Boivin wrote:Thanks tellmewhy,
Has anyone tried to use a digital camera instead of a webcam?
Should I post this questions elsewhere?
Thanks in advance
Laura
You can use it as a webcam (connected to your computer via USB port).
Then there is nothing different from what i already explained.
Of course if you have a camer that not can be used as webcam via USB
You have to connect the cameras SVideo output to your computer.
And not all computers have such connection.

I am trying to understand how you have uploaded this.
Do you have a website & is the webcam running off of it or is it running off your PC?
I notice your link has ftp in it....I have tried the ftp without much success.
Please feel free to PM me if you don't want this information made public.
thanks again..........Laura
Re: Sharing your Webcam
I actually setup my computer on DynDNS.com. This will allow you to run software on your PC that will update the DHCP address with DynDNS. Their site associates it with serveftp.org. You can create your own prefix to the link which is nice. I then edited the html to add all the other things onto the page.Laura Boivin wrote:Thank you so much for this.Cr1vitz wrote:Here is my link at my cabin. Crivitz CamLaura Boivin wrote:Hi all,

I try to. You never know what you will see on there. A deer, a bear or some people drinking beers.Laura Boivin wrote:thank you...checked it out & will play with this later. Do you keep your PC on all the time?
