YawCam 0.3.2 - not able to 'enable' ftp, http or stream

Post by Dave Pursehouse »

Installed 0.3.2 over 0.3.0, which seemed to work in so far as options were taken over, new files created over old ones. However, when starting Yawcam, I am unable to click on "disable" for file output, also unable to "enable" http, stream, ftp (in fact every option on this page cannot be selected)

Unfortunately don't have an old installer for 0.3.0 which worked perfectly well for me. (only reason I upgraded was that YawCam told me there was a new version after a very long time using 0.3.0, so I thought it must be significant.)

Java update 17 installed on machine, no other Java active/available.

Anybody else having similar issues?

Try to uninstall yawcam first.
Reboot
And reinstall

Let us know what that gave as a result.

Sound like the scheduler has been enabled. Try to turn it off by clicking:
"Settings -> Edit settings... -> Scheduler"
and make sure that the option "Enable scheduler" is unmarked.

Yes, the new version of Yawcam will not use the old settings. A mistake from my side... You can however manually copy the old settings so that they are used in the new version.

If you installed Yawcam into C:\Program Files\Yawcam, the old settings
file is located here:
C:\Program Files\Yawcam\yawcam_settings.xml

This is the file you can copy to the new location.
The new location is in the users home directory and this depends on
which version of Windows you are using.

In windows vista or windows 7 this could typically be:
C:\Users\username\.yawcam\yawcam_settings.xml
and in windows 2000 or windows xp:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\.yawcam\yawcam_settings.xml

where username is the name of the account you are using.
