Move n latest pics with ftp

Post by Markku »

Really nice software, thanks for sharing it!

Just one request for it:

I would like to transfer several pics to the ftp-server, so that the latest picture is always like "campic.jpg" and the rest of them (second newest and so on) are named like "campic1.jpg", "campic2.jpg" etc. That way I could have a small "library" of older pictures available as well. Lot's of renaming but I know it could be done...

Hmm, first... I don't want to install Perl just to make this work and secondly I have a static web page that shows the old pictures that are renamed like pic1, pic2 etc. so I can't use changing dates in filename with it.

You may wonder "hmm, he has a working system, what's the problem". Well, the problem is that I would really like to switch to Yawcam because it's light, works better with stream and I just like freeware more than freeware with bloody limitations :-)

This is an good idea. The function already exists for the file output (the Image array wizzard), but I guess it could be added to the ftp output as well.

Great, waiting for the release that gives me the reason to get rid of the current software...scheduling is something that I propably can handle with Windows scheduler and process killer for W2k.

Check out the latest beta version of Yawcam:

It includes the possibility to have X of the latest images stored on the ftp.
