http autorefresh?

Post by dzidek »

Hi.
I would like to have the http page served by yawcam refreshing itself regularly. I tried the solution given in update.html
(<META HTTP-EQUIV=Refresh CONTENT="10"> )
but my browser (IE) doesn't refresh the out.jpg.
Any ideas how to make to refresh the picture also?
Rgds,

UPDATE: I played a little with that and it looks like the refresh triggered by meta tag does NOT trigger request for a new picture from yawcam. On the contriary the refresh button in Explorer does...

UPDATE 2: Apparnetly file out.jpg is not really "on file" when generated only for built-in http server. I solved that by enabling also "file" option in yawcam, putting the file in my Apache server directory (every 2 minutes) and modifying index.html so it looks for the picture on my other http server rather. That is workaround only, of course. The next step will be integrating the picture directly into my home page so I would be able to stop yawcam's http server on port 8888.

I see you are doing it exactly the way I figuered already: filing the picture first, then publishing it in http code... I guess that is the only way.
