Yawcam won't start an exe file

I just started using Yawcan and I really like it, but I am having a problem getting it to start an exe file for me. I have been able to get it to start wordpad.exe and other various exe files, but I created an exe that when run gives me a 2 second long balloon notification so I know that motion was detected. Double clicking the exe file works fine, but when set as the exe for Yawcam to run, nothing happens. Does anyone have any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Maybe if you create a shortcut of the .exe & call this instead?

are you running yawcam as a service when it calls the .exe?

Thanks for the suggestion, creating a shortcut to it worked perfectly.
