Problem with dynamic ip

Post by AlexIT »

Hi all,

I'm trying to configure yawcam stream and access it when I'm not home.
I have dynamic ip, so I used no-ip service.

It's running good, and i can access to mydomain.no-ip.info in browser and it shows me 192.168.1.1 router settings page.

Localy I can see yawcam stream on 192.168.1.102:8081 but if I try to go to mydomain.no-ip.info:8081 id doesn't load. I have already opened 8081 port and 8888 in my router settings, and am I online? showing me that 8081 is ok, but id doesn't loads in browser.

How can i redirect my noip domain to 192.168.102 instead of 192.168.1.1 that is showing now. I already tryed to configure in network settings of my pc to point it to 192.168.102 but it still doesn't work. Please, help me.

Thank you very mutch.

Are you sure that you have set your router to forward traffic from public port
8081 to LAN IP 192.168.1.102-port 8081? (Because at your first post you keep
writing 192.168.102.) Also, are you sure that your computer gets that LAN IP
every time? Because my router assigns a different IP to every machine after
rebooting it (I don't use no-ip so I don't know if that's really a problem for it).
Finally, keep in mind that you can't view your stream from a LAN machine (by
visiting the public URL that is). Have someone outside your LAN (a friend) to
test it for you or search for a proxy. You can only test the local address from
inside LAN (192.168.1.102:8081).
