Mail: Exception reading response when avast actif

Hello,

Lastly yawcam does not send emails anymore. The console shows "Mail: Exception reading response" whenever there's a motion detection. Emails ARE sent when I disable AVAST.

Disabling the firewall does not help

Any idea?

After some searching I found that Avast's "Mail Shield" can cause some problems when sending or receiving email over SSL.
I didn't find any clear solution though.

Some people added exceptions in Avast for their specific SMTP server.
Some disabled the "Mail Shield" completely. (I would not recommend that!)

Perhaps you can find a solution if you search or ask a question at Avast's support forum?
