Time and Date Format?

Post by Lorenzo »

First off! Kudos on a wicked tool! I bought a webcam and was upset that it didn't come with the software for uploading to a website but in the end it was a good thing. I went looking and found Yawcam! :)

Some suggestions I think would make it even better than it already is:
  • - The ability to have the preview screen and other tools all in one single window. (Skinnable?)
  • - Customizable date & time format (I'd rather have 12hr format than 24hr format

Awesome tool though! I love it!

I'm glad you found Yawcam :D
- The ability to have the preview screen and other tools all in one single window. (Skinnable?)
I have to rewrite rather large parts of Yawcam to make this possible. So I don't think this will happen in a near future. But I sure will keep the idea in my mind.

I'm not sure it's possible to make real skinneable applications in java.
Maybe I can fix some "static looks" that are selectable...
- Customizable date & time format (I'd rather have 12hr format than 24hr format
Why didn't I think of that? I will include a 12hr clock in the next release!

Thanx for your ideas!

Yeah .... just suggestions anyway.

What about having alternate date formats like:

Monday, May 17, 2004 or something along those lines too?

I'm not sure what you are looking for here... Do you want to be able to see how many people currently are looking at your image in the built-in webserver? I'm not sure this is possible to do in a decent way...
