You are correct, that compiled exe will only work when running as a service.

So the command you set to run didn't run when it launched?

Can you try to capture the logs with Process Monitor to see if the compiled exe launches and see if it tries to launch your command?

You may have to remove some filters from yesterday to see the right logs.

Yes, I can get more logs when I get back to my computer- give me an hour or three.

Ok, so I see in the logs that Launch_Regedit.exe executes, it gets to the point where it searches for C:\windows\regedit.exe then crashes, but I don't know why.

Can you check in Event Viewer for logs from "Interactive Launcher" under Application and see if you have an error message there?

Okay, open Event Viewer, I'm on Windows 10 so there appears to be no "Interactive Launcher" under application, but in the list of logs there are some with source=Interactive_Launcher. The ones with that as the source all have Event ID 0, and these xml files for info:

Can you open a command prompt and try the command "Query Session"?

The script is hardcoded to session 1, so I'm wondering if you have anything else?

You should see 2 sessions, one of them will be "services" which should have ID 0, which is the session the services including Yawcam are running under.
The other session should say "console" and the session ID should be 1. If it's not, let me know, I do have a longer version of the script that is more complex and can accomodate other session IDs.

EDIT: I'm heading to bed, so take your time.

Nope, services ID is 0, console ID is 1!

Can you try recompiling the launcher with another exe you have on your system instead of regedit.exe?

Just did, same run warning (can't delete <nameofexe>.pdb), tried to run from Yawcam as service, same result. Log (anotherexe.PML) is at the same place as last time, http://michionlion.no-ip.org/stuff

This is baffling me, I'll have to upgrade a PC to Windows 10 to try it out.

Which version of .Net Framework do you have installed?
