Possible to add the stream adress to the Alert email?

Hello,

I am using yawcam with a ps3 move camera and it has already helped me alot lately. I have enabled streaming and motion detection and everything is working as it should except the ever changing external IP adress. It seems, my dsl connection drops at least once a day.

Is it possible for Yawcam to paste the current external ip link with port number adress alongside the "motion detected images"? It would be very usefull imo.

I'll add it to the suggestions list for Malun to review.

So to make sure I understand, you want to be able to modify the text sent from the Yawcam Motion Detection Email and be able to include a variable in the text such as the external IP address, let's say {ExternalIP} and perhaps the link back to the stream such as {StreamLink}?

What's the reason for not using a DDNS update client and accessing the stream via a corresponding domain name? I have a DSL connection with dynamic IPs, and that's how I remotely access my stream, router and PCs. I find this to be the simplest and most reliable approach.

It's not possible to get the public address sent in the e-mail in Yawcam today.
You can however add the public ip address as an text overlay in the image.

Just include the variable: %pubip
in the text overlay.

But as MA_Angel points out... The best way to make sure that you always will be able to connect to your stream is by using a DDNS update client.
