I got it going but how do I do this?

Post by bingbong »

Hello, I've setup Yawcam5 with one ipcam and got it working. It does a nice job of motion sensitive snapshots and records stills and videos.

I saw from searching the forum 'Video capture for motion detection is now implemented in Yawcam 0.5.0.'

In addition to the motion sensitive video, I want to record the continuous video from the ipcam via Yawcam to a file on the Yawcam pc. I know this will get huge, but it will only be used for 'context' if one of the snapshots proves of interest and of course it can then be manually deleted.

Is there any way to do this please?

Also is there some setting to increase the duration of a video snapshot recording?

Oh and a snippet of info for anyone setting up Yawcam with a cheapo 'wanscam' ip camera clone: A working 'IP camera settings' > 'URL to IP camera' is "http://<lan_ip>/videostream.cgi?user=admin&pwd=123456" . There may be others but I couldn't find them..
