Could not find Java on the system error code 9009

After the latest version of Java was released (Version 8 Update 121), when launching Yawcam I recieve and error message that says "Could not find Java on the system. Please reinstall Java. Error code: 9009". I have tried to uninstall and reinstall Java... that did not work.

I have also consulted some other posts on the Yawcam forum that described similar scenarios however those fixes did not work.

I currently have Java 8 Update 121 (32-bit) and Java 8 Update 121 (64-bit) installed on my PC running Win10 Pro.

Does anyone have some advice for me? I use Yawcam frequently for making training videos. Thank you.

Solution: Update Windows PATH to include the Java bin folder in the ENVironment table.

Same happened to me.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_151\bin

If i do a java -version, java replyies with
java version "1.8.0_161"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_161-b12)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.161-b12, mixed mode)


Windows 7 64bit
So it is not the path?

What is wrong?????

I checked my windows path, and java is in it.
Also if i make a java -version i get a reply from java.

But still the same error.

Any thoughts???

It is a complete fresk installed windows 7 on 64bit.
