Streaming long delay

Hi all,

I have a multi-camera Zoneminder security system on my home LAN, and I decided to add another camera - I had an old Win XP laptop and Logitech camera lying around gathering dust, so rather than buy a new IP cam I decided to put the crusty old laptop and webcam to good use. I installed Yawcam, and after figuring out some settings was able to stream the webcam via MJPEG to my Zoneminder server - excellent! :D

The only issue I've encountered so far is that when I view the MJPEG stream in the Zoneminder viewer it isn't very "live" - I estimate the frames delivered to Zoneminder are 40-50 seconds delayed. If I view the stream in the browser by pointing to http:/<ip>:8081 it is pretty close to realtime, so it seems more than capable of making it across my LAN with minimal delay.

Is there anything I can do to reduce this buffering? :?

Best regards,
Chris, New Zealand.
