Multiple Cams on USB

Post by ramadrama »

My Version 0.6.0
Windows Xp SP3
Java 8

Hi There,
it is possible to set up 5 Wabcams on USB in the same time? The Cams are recognized by WXP, but I can only set up one cam each.
Thanx

Hi,

I just responded on another thread:

i think it may be the USB limitation. I remember when I was setting mine up I had 3 x 1080p cameras and had to move them around to different ports/hubs because the video stream saturates the USB 3.0 hub. I tried 2 on the hub and it was fine but 3-4 just stopped. Then I moved some off to a different hub (sometimes motherboards have 2 hubs from different manufacturers) and it worked fine. I would try 2 on one hub and 2 on another hub and see what happens. If you get flickering lines, then that hub is getting saturated and can't process the video.
