Ability to auto-select composite input on capture card

Post by mfbenson »

I have an ATI capture card that captures video images. Each time the PC is restarted, the card defaults to the coax port on the card. Starting Yawcam as a service is ideal, but I need to re-select the input.

The new version of Yawcam allows me to select that option from Settings | Device >> | Crossbar Control...

Is there any way to have Yawcam select the appropriate input upon startup?

I have another capture card by a different manufacturer and it works fine after a reboot. I even asked ATI for assistance, but no luck.

I have the same problem too. Every time I start Yawcam, it switches back to
"Video SVideo In" (in "Crossbar Control..."). It works fine when I manually
change the setting to "Video Composite In", but it switches back to SVideo
after a computer reboot (it keeps the setting if I only restart Yawcam).
Any thoughts on that?

This is not a problem related to yawcam directly, try contacting the capture card's vendor for more information.

Hm, I haven't thought of that aspect.
Thanks for your suggestion z3r0c00l12.
