Yawcam - Using multipple instances of Yawcam with only 1 USB camera
Why this article ?
This is a possible solution for the problem raised in thread Forward file output.
See also my forum > Yawcam - Forward file output & Motion detection.

Install 2 instances of Yawcam & Use Splitcam.
See more detailed info about Splitcam see SplitCam - virtual video clone
REMARK :
  • You now only need 1 webcam to go with this solution.
  • Next to Yaxcam you need to run Splitcam
  • Set up this configuration is more difficult.
You need 4 ports, you have to configure your firewall for all 4 ports.
  • Since both images are the same, you only need one to view in your browser.
  • Install and Configure Splitcam.
See also : SplitCam - virtual video clone for more info.
  • Install and configure Yawcam two times.
See this thread Yawcam - Use multipple camera's with Yawcam for details of "How to set up and install two times Yawcam with two webcams".
  • Configure motion detection for the first webcam :

Task : Send an email every 5 minutes, when no motion is detected. Attach 1 image to the email.
    • Dislpay the "Motion detection" window first.
Via the menu "Window" and select the option.
