Stream wont automatically start even when I check the boxes

Post by huntercross14 »

In my laptop, Yawcam stream worked fine for weeks, I checked the checkboxes in Startup and the stream automatically starts when Yawcam starts.

But there is a problem since yesterday when i registered and installed no-ip DUC. The problem is that even when i check the checkboxes in startup it wont start automatically when yawcam starts and i had to manually press the stream enable button. I'm not sure if the problem is caused by no-ip software. Also yesterday i installed yawcam in my other pc, not sure if its conflicting even when my port numbers are different. thanks

I can think of 2 reasons why it would stop launching automatically.

First, the settings got corrupted and won't save the "start stream" checkbox. If this is the case, you can try copying your yawcam_settings.xml file in another folder, then open yawcam, set the settings the way you want it, including the "start stream", then close yawcam and re-open it. If the settings are ok, then your old yawcam_settings.xml file is somehow corrupted. If not, then post your yawcam_settings.xml file here. Make sure you remove your username/passwords from the file.

Second, another program is using the port at the same time, although, in this case, you should be getting a message saying the port is already in use.

I did what you said like moving yawcam setting to another folder and restarting it but it didnt work. but anyway I found out what was causing the problem it was actually startup http that was causing this problem. I only used stream before and I wanted to use http, so i set http auto startup on monday, this has somehow clashed with startup stream thats why only http would auto startup but not stream.

Anyway I disabled auto http startup and now stream startup works fine. What i really want was stream startup to work thanks.
