Twisted pictures. Motion detection.

Post by stimas »

Hi,
I have an issue with my web cam (Logitech C525 - newest drivers installed):
This camera is mounted upside down and therefor I have flipped the picture: http://screencast.com/t/X44OF2w9

The problem seems to be related to Motion Detection. Sometimes the pictures gets twisted or something. Please take a look at these pictures:

Correct picture:

Incorrect picture:

Has anyone seen this behaviour? And if..., is there any solution for it?
I have tried to update the driver for my video card as well, but it didn't help.
I'm running Xp on this machine. Yawcam 0.4.1.

Thanks for your help!

No. I tried it, but then I couldn't get any picture at all.
I have now turn my web cam in right position and aren't using flip horizontal/vertical.... :D

This is just what happens to me, but I get 3 horizontal bands, one or two of which, are mirrored oppositely. (W2K, QuickCam 3000 Pro, Yawcam 0.4.1) I'm using motion detection on a defined area with flip horiz and flip vert both checked. The band don't seem related to the motion area I've defined.

I haven't tried the javarendering.txt hack yet. If that doesn't work, I guess I'll I try remounting the cam right side up.
