Stream drops after a few hours

Post by guipot »

Hi,

I seem to get a persistant problem with Yawcam: it only works for a few hours then I have to restart the program to be able to get the streaming working again (the html server seems much more robust). Sometimes the preview window also becomes black.

Is this a Java-related problem ? To me, It really looks like a bug in the program/Java.

Otherwise it's a great little program.

Thnk

Beta did not fix problem

Post by dynacam »

I thought the beta had fixed the problem where it locks up and stops streaming, but it does not seem to be the case, I have reverted to the older version till I have another look. I am also getting the preview window staying black.

Try the latest beta version of yawcam. This should work better.
Anyhow, some people still get problems with a freezing image even with the beta version.

There is no beta version released later than "Yawcam BETA 2006-05-17".
I have some versions that I'm working on though... but they are not ready for beta release yet.
