Router bug
Router bug
I setup the router with auto detect porting, and Yawcam reports it's working.
Yet it still refuses to work with streaming HTTP.
I had to plug in my USB modem key to get it to work, it refuses to work with my router, even though Yawcam reports that the porting was successful and so does my router.
This is definitely a Yawcam bug.

this is definitely not a Yawcam bug, in fact the bug is in UPNP. Your router uses UPNP to "port forward" automatically, and Yawcam uses this technique to communicate to the router. Some model of routers have a poorly implemented UPNP protocol and therefore doesn't work properly. In fact, Yawcam has a good UPNP protocol which tries to deal with these flaky routers, but obviously not all can be fixed.
The best solution is to port forward manually.
Other solutions would be to try upgrading the firmware on your router or try verifying the port mapping in the UPNP log on your router.

When I use my huawei E585 router your program gets confused with my HTTP IP and some other "internal IP" which WORKS, but the HTTP IP which is my proper IP, does not work!z3r0c00l12 wrote:this is definitely not a Yawcam bug, in fact the bug is in UPNP. I had to use my USB Internet modem key to bypass this bug, where it then accurately shows my proper internet IP address and then the HTTP works.
Anyway, it don't matter as I can use my USB Internet modem key to bypass this issue.
