HTTP - Java(?) bug

Post by a-dougk1 »

I've just installed the newest version of Yawcam (0.3.6) on a machine at my sister's house. For some reason it was running really slowly. I opened task manager and noticed that whenever I enable HTTP, the CPU usage jumps from 2-4% to 100% continuously.

Reading through some old Yawcam threads on the Internet, it appears that this may be a problem with Java, although I found no difinitive solution.

Any ideas how to fix this, or is this a bug in Yawcam (or a bug in a certain version of Java)?

Computer:

Compaq
AMD Athlon XP 2000+
1.67 GHz, 224 MB of RAM
Windows XP SP 2
Java 6.0.240.7

We'll have to wait for Malun to comment on this one, You are both running the same version of Java and Yawcam and get the same problem on HTTP, so I don't think it's something wrong on your end.
