Stream keeps reloading in IE

Post by mickopla »

I'm using Yawcam Javascript to stream my cam on my weather website. Recently i noticed that when in Internet Explorer the cam reloads every second. In Chrome i get a stream with no reloading. I'm wondering is there anyway to fix this as it must be annoying for IE users looking at the webcam. You can see what i'm talking about here http://www.waterfordcityweather.com/wxwebcam.php

Maybe it's because the broadcasting image is 1600x1200 (230kB).
I've set mine in 320x240 (60kB) & the result is fine for me. Play around with device's settings
in "Format control..." & try to figure out what works best for you (quality/performance).

Cheers for the reply. 320x240 is just too poor quality so i settled for 800x600 which seems to work fine. Seems strange though that 1600x1200 now gives a distorted image in Yawcam. I had been running 1600x1200 for months with no issues. I re-installed webcam and also Yawcam but still cant get 1600x1200 to work.

Yea, it looks ok now!
I forgot to mention that your image had a bar at the bottom (of about 1/6 of
the total height), like an overlay, under which the image was displayed in negative
colors or something like that. Now looks fine though. Is that the distortion you
are talking about? Also, just in case you forgot, have you set the image's quality
(under settings menu) to 100%?
Nice site btw! 8)

Memoric, Henree08 is a spambot, he copies people's posts, changes a few words and reposts. I deleted the post.
