detection of ip address

I have the latest version of the software installed on a xp machine.

However, the software is unable to detect the ip address.

On start up, I would get the error message "failed auto detect ip"...

I have unchecked the check at start up box and manually entered my ip address, and everything appears to work,

but when I click on the button "get" to detect the ip, I get the error message again...

Is there a solution to this issue?
