Motion Detection will not send email

Postby Vince » Tue Aug 07, 2012 7:32 pm

Running XP via ATT Uverse. IPcam on a Driod. Everything else works, inside/outside network. With both a webcam and IP camera.

I can not get it to send an email upon motion detection. I have tried 3 functioning email address, 1 ATT and 2 Gmail account. No Luck.

using smtp.gamil.com
Port 465
SSL required
Password required
Image Array unchecked
Flood Control a 1 every 10 seconds.

Any suggestions?

Is that "smtp.gamil.com" a copy/paste from your settings or you wrote it "by
hand"? If it's the first, then your settings are wrong. The right one is "gmail".

You can not send an email to yourself.
I sent the email to a different email account, in my case an ATT email that is handled by yahoo.

The from address is my gmail(spelled correctly) with it's smtp info.
Port 25; SSL required as well as password.

I knew it had to be simple.
