0.4.0 20130217 build - heavy duty flicker

Post by XmanORE »

System:

I7/W64/8G
Logitech Quickcam E2500

Nasty slow (several seconds at a time) flicker (really more of a "go dark"

worked fine with previous version.

What is flickering?
The preview window or the stream that is visible in the browser?

Do you get any error messages in the console tab?

it's the stream.

Sorry - EDIT: preview window. I never use the browser

Console shows:

Detected possible problem with the video device. Restarting it now. (Restarts: 1180)

How long has it been running for it to get to 1180 restarts?

I downloaded and installed the update this morning, about five and a half hours ago.

Never saw this with the previous version?

It's a new feature to restart the webcam if it displays a stale picture for a long time. You may want to go in the settings, under startup and disable the Device Error monitor and see if it solves your problem.

That seems to have taken care of it. Will report back if there are further issues.

Thanks!
