feature request: Password protection for HTTP access

Postby drose28257 » Tue Jan 19, 2010 12:26 pm

with settings/password i can grand access to users for live streams, but http "streaming" is not controlled. Thus anybuddy can watch my cam in my living room.

Please add an option/Checkbox to controll access in "settings/password" for HTTP access. There are two ways to implement:
1) Each user will have dedicated checkboxes for streaming and http
2) add a second Checkbox to all users with "use passwords for HTTP".

Thanks for this amazing software!

Just wondering what is the progress of password authentication for HTTP access?

Thanks in advance!

I hope to add it in a future version. I'm not sure when it can be done though...

Use the webserver security

I would have the webserver itself handle the http security. That's what it's good at. That's what it's for!
