Bug with Motion Detection, Flip Horizontal and Streaming

Post by Mochnant »

Hello,

Great program, thank you for developing it!

Microsoft LifeCam Cinema on Windows 7 64bit.

My issue is that my cam is mounted upside down, so I have to activate the flip vertical and horizontal. It appears to work fine until someone connects via the Stream. Then the streaming picture shows flashes of big square artifacts and this causes the motion detection to go crazy. It only does it when flip horizontal is on. There is no distortion on the local camera preview. It looks normal. Even after the user disconnects it continues, and I have to disable the motion detection to stop it. I can then re-enable it and it works until I connect again to the stream via a browser.

If I have only flip vertical it does not show this behavior.

Thank you!

To followup, it doesn't seem to require Streaming (though that causes it too). When I was attempting to define a movement detection area the window that popped up to let me draw an area also showed the flicker. And I could tell that it was superimposing a horizontally UNFLIPPED image on top of the correctly flipped image for an instant.

Hope this helps hunt it down.
