Reinstall on a new machine and hangs on splash screen

Hi,

I was running Yawcam fine on a Windows 7 32-bit installation and moved it to a new machine running Windows 7 64-bit and now it hangs on load during "Loading devices" on the splash screen. Same webcam being used. I originally tried to keep the previous configuration but I completely removed and reinstalled Yawcam and same hang.

Java is version 6 update 29.

Is this a 64-bit problem or something else? I only loaded the 32 bit Java, not the 64 bit as I assume this is a 32 bit application.

The problem most likely lies with Java, try re-installing it, or like you said, installing the 64-bit version as well.

Reinstalled 32-bit version of Java and tried the 64-bit, same problem. Is there a way to turn on a debug log of some kind or a trace?

Hello Danno,

I have more or less the same problem.
In June 2010 I had installed Yawcam 3.6.
In 5 December I have uninstalled it. After that I can not install yawcam. again. Even not the newest Version 3.7.
I wrote last week a topic here about.
I begin to believe that there is a bug in the uninstaller.
