Can you post your yawcam_settings.xml?

Multiple Instances

Has anybody tried this recently? I followed the instructions, and realized that I should probably copy the contents of the original mydocuments/.yawcam folder into each of the "mysettings" folders created...

The problem is, yawcam always loads the settings from the last time it ran, regardless of which folder I ran it from. This tells me that the settings are (now) stored in a new location independent of the program folder.

Any ideas?

I got this to work with the provided settings. The issue with creating the setting folders and pointing it to program files is that windows 7/8 might need admin settings to "modify" or update the existing settings. I would suggest creating a folder outside program files which contain your settings.

More than 2 cameras ?

I got this working upto 3 cameras however I came across and issue which might be un-related to Yawcam as such. Let me explain.

I have a setup which contained Logitech C230 and Yawcam and had it working for years at this point. However now I added two more cameras to it i.e. Logitech C110. So the current setup now contains

1 x Logitech C230
2 x Logitech C110

The issue is that at any given time I am able to access ONLY two cameras in any configuration using Yawcam 2 instances. The third instance always displays black screen. Has some one come across this if yes , is there any way to resolve the issue ?

Config:
SW: Windows 7 Professional
HW: Dell Mini 9
YawCam : 0.3.7

Couple of things which I tried :
1) Reboot :)
2) Plug all three webcams in a powered USB hub and try
3) Try Another SW : iCamSource ( Able to replicate the issue)

You could be experiencing 2 different problems:
1) 2 of your yawcams are trying to access the same camera, so when the third one loads, the camera is already in use, so yawcam just displays a black screen
2) The other possibility is that since they are both the same model, Yawcam might be using the same webcam even though you selected a different one. I know this used to be an issue, but I thought it had been fixed when more than 2 cameras are the same model, Yawcam should have a #1, #2, etc appended to the name.

Is there a way to make a webpage with multiple camera streams on it?

Yes, but I had to use my web server to do it. I made a page with frames and each frame loads a separate cam, but they are both displayed on the same page.

how do I do this from my Mac?
Also, is there a way to have iCam recognize my fixed ip Ethernet cams when the source machine is off? Or does the cpu need to remain on for my entire trip?

There is no version of Yawcam that runs on OSX.

Multiple Cameras Help

I am just having a problem routing 2 separate cameras and computers on the same router. (netgear WNR200v3)
Both of the cameras show up via my WAN which is 67.91.103.157 I have it set to TCP Starting port 80
ending port 6670 (as prompted by yawcam site) this site is viewable at http://67.91.103.157:6670 from a WAN and a LAN no problems works great

My other Camera is also set up via yawcam but my router is not allowing me to port forward it (telling me its in use) though it still shows up via my WAN on the app. I can also access it from inside my router on a 192 .168.ect it works on a website. the http is set to http://67.81.103.157:8081 Stream: http://67.81.103.157:8888 but the other camera works on
Stream: http://192.168.1.5:8888 and Http: http://192.168.1.5:8081

All I want to do is view my second camera on a website via wan on a computer, it works over my LAN and it also works on my in the bookmark section of my phone WAN just fine, just viewable on any webpage on any computer from a WAN . I'm at a total loss.

This is my IP address 67.81.103.157 if you can take a look at it and see what I failed to do. If you can guide me through this it would be great

Thank you so much for any help in advance

Use different ports for the second camera say 8082 and 8083 or whatever you choose as long as they are unique
I also use the netgear and have 3 cameras running. :D
