Can't view yawcam from internet

Thanks - yes it's very strange - it seems to start & stop without reason. I've just tried to access it from work & it's fine. I suspect it may be connected with the router as I get the same problem (or not) with either of 2 pc's which are permanently on line. I tend to leave the router on all the time once I've got a good sync speed - I live about 6km from the telephone exchange and have overhead cables so can suffer with low speeds but once I'm connected it seems to hold at 1440kbps so I don't disconnect unless I have to!

Nice view mpg! I love Canada!
I wonder why there is no official yawcam-webcam community & why we are
not allowed to form one either :?:

windy today

Postby mpg » Sat Mar 03, 2012 4:05 pm

Well its windy today

I also got to the house (where the cam is installed) had I could view it from the PC it was installed on, unlike last week i could not see anything yet i could view it elsewhere.

However sometime in the middle of the night it just stopped working.

Idiscoved when I woke up that the Cam software was not running. So i turned it back on and once again I could not see it again.

But everything checks out OK. Bizarre

Final Setup

Postby mpg » Sat Mar 03, 2012 7:08 pm

Ok all looks good, two Cams on the go and so on.

http://millcam.servepics.com:8081/

Did a up a table on the page to combine both Cams using border-collapse might do more later.

Now I need to find more usb cables to get one of these suckers on the roof.
The other challange Ill have is temprature change....can get unpredictable, cold swing, tehn up the next day. Im in a good spot never went below -1 yet this year, been in the plus numbers so far. Im all for that.

Maybe more cams in the future LOL

I used to have 4 USB cameras too, with a looot of cables. :P But they weren't
very stable, so I switched them to those that they use in CCTVs (with RCA
connections & a quad splitter) & everything is fine now. Well, most of the times.
Sometimes yawcam freezes for no apparent reason but if I restart it it's ok.
Btw, in case you haven't noticed, your cams' IP at your page is your LAN's IP,
we can't watch them.
