ERROR: Err: Chk host! Usr online?

Post by ras01101 »

I have a machine that used to work as a streaming server. It has recently stopped working over the internet and gives the error above. When you connect to the URL you get the correct web page, the Cam Title etc but where the picture should be you get the error. My IP is correct within the server and it works fine within my LAN.

Does anyone have a fix??

Thanks

Err.Chk host! Usr online?

Same problem here...

as far as I'm aware, this works for some users via their home ISPs, but seem to have this trouble coming out of corporate networks.

This is what is output to the Java Console - It looks like for whatever reason, the applet can't talk to the server on port 80?

Any ideas?

here's a thought - any comments?

Am i right in thinking that the video stream is transmitted over udp?

Could it be that my (and other) corporate firewalls block udp on port 80?

I was able to fix this error by

forcing public IP from settings menu in yawcam under streaming.

hope this works for u too.

I keep getting: Err. Chk host! Usr online?
Does this means: Error check host! user online ?
I have installed version 2.6 and
I can see myself with internal Ip address: 192.168.10:"8081 no problem.
In the settings..Stream...Advanced, I automatically get my public IP address and I use the default port 8081 which I have open in my lynksys router and checked both the TCP and UDP to able them.
In your template I have used the above address and port, uploaded the the template.html and YawApplet.class to my server.
But I keep getting the above message.
I installed the program in anothe computer, but same results.

Thanks for youe help.
