I currently have Yawcam setup for FTP and it's working great. All the settings are perfect and I have the numbering going up per picture with the {num} function.
Only problem I've noticed is that if I delete the first pictures while it's capturing, the numbers will start all the way over at 0 and not keep counting up. Is there anyway to prevent this?
I have a separate script to delete all files older than 31 minutes, running ever 30 minutes, and this really messes up the flow of my setup.
Any recommendations?
Numbering Issue
Re: Numbering Issue
I've tried a few options with no luck.
It seems that having the {tstamp} and {num} function on at the same time results in the {num} always being 0.
The renaming with the {X} function takes too long to process. I'm pushing 6 files a minute and it has to be consistent.
I have team viewer setup if anyone wants to see it in progress!

Re: Numbering Issue
This happens because Yawcam checks for the first "free" number in the series.
When you delete say image0.jpg to image10.jpg these filenames will be available again and the next time Yawcam saves an image the filename will be image0.jpg.
That's the way Yawcam works...

nickhalf,
maybe you can describe to us what you are doing or what your need is.
Quite possibly there is another way of achieving the result you need.
